TOP K24 JOURNALISTS PURITY MWAMBIA AND FRANKLIN WAMBUGU ARRESTED

The police are cracking their whip on errant journalists who appear to be denting the government’s name in the eye of the public.

K24 journalists, Purity Mwambia and Franklin Wambugu (Managing editor, Swahili) are the latest big names in the industry to be taken into custody by the police.

The two are alleged to have bribed their way into GSU headquarters in Ruaraka with an improvised explosive device (IED).

Purity was on a mission of filming scenes for her investigative, ‘Bweta La Uhalifu’ which was supposed to air on K24.

The exposé wasn’t aired, its trailer has also been pulled down from YouTube.

One would think K24 was immune to government’s prosecution since it’s owned by the President himself, but this is not the case. They are equally liable to legal proceedings.

Anti-terror police took Purity, Franklin and their driver into custody to grill them.
