This year's Groove Awards were held last weekend at the Safaricom Stadium Kasarani gymnasium. The King of the night who got the most awards was non other than Barua hit maker Bahati. Bahati's win infuriated his arch-rival Willy Paul who did not take the news well.
According to paparazzi who attended the event, Willy Paul is said to have stormed out of the gymnasium in fury after Bahati scooped awards for all the four categories he had been nominated in.
“Where is my car and my girlfriend?” Willy Paul was heard asking a friend on phone after scoring zero awards.
“I thank God for all this. Glory be to His name. As I said before, I sing to glorify God and I want nothing to do with our (his and Willy Paul's) stories. I treat him as a brother,” Bahati told MondayBlues magazine.
