Controversy surrounding Mombasa governor Hassan Ali Joho seems to be far from over as the director of criminal investigations(DCI) now summons him to record a statement.

DCI Coast regional coordinator Pius Macharia has written to Joho asking him to appear at the Mombasa headquarters for statement recording on Tuesday 28 in the morning.

“Pursuant to section 52(1) of the National Police Service Act, 1 do hereby require you,Ali Hassan Joho to personally appear before Mr Samuel O.Nyambegi, an assistant Inspector General of Police investigating the alleged offense on 28th of March at 10.00am at the regional DCI headquarter Mombasa for statement recording relating to the forgery of a 1992 examination result slip in your name which is the subject of this investigation”, says Macharia.Joho confirmed this latest development via his Facebook page.

“I have informed them in writing that due to confirmed prior commitments I will personally honor the summon on Wednesday the 29th of March at 10.30am. I know I will be vindicated once again and this will never deter me from pursuing the transformation agenda for my people”, he said.

Earlier on,Mombasa county director of communications Richard Chacha urged journalists to verify the authenticity of Joho’s form four certificate from Serani Secondary school he sat his exams.

He maintained Joho did KCSE in 1993 and not 1992 as being peddled.
