Experts from Harvard University have confirmed that a 19th book housed in the University's library has been bound using materials from human skin. Sciencitists and conservators carried out extensive tests and found the matter used to bind the book to be clearly human.
The book in French,'Des destinees del'ame' which translates to...'A meditation on the Soul and life after Death' According to author and scholar Arsene Houssaye, he presented the book in the 1880's to a friend and book lover Dr. Ludoric Bouland.
Bouland then bound the book in human skin and left a note saying 'A book about human soul deserved to have a human covering....'
