Family Mourns The Death Of Britain's Oldest Dog Jack Russell Daisy, 23.

Britain's oldest dog Jack Russell Daisy has died at the age of 23 and a half years. Daisy who fed on exactly the same diet as her owners died just months to her 24th birthday.

She was a stray dog and was rescued at the age of two from a shelter in 1993 by Mark Barsby-Finch, 50, and the family pet never had to eat dog food again.

Daisy was officially recognised as the nation's most elderly pooch sometimes last year. Mr Barsby-Finch said Daisy's ashes will be scattered beneath her favourite tree in the back garden.

 He said he was considering out taking in another stray adding that to be able to give a rescue dog a home is very special.
