Employees of Ebru TV among them former Citizen TV screen siren, Michelle Morgan were shocked when the management today a notice ordering all employees to open bank accounts with Gulf Bank immediately so as to cut costs on salary processing.
One of the staff membersaid that there was disquiet in the newsroom but no one dared to step forward to voice their concerns as the memo came as an order and their fear is that they may face ‘consequences’ if they question the management’s directive. The TV station is owned and managed by Everest Production Corporation.
