Rumeysa Gelgi, 17, is the world's tallest female teenager
according to Guinness World Records. Rumeysa suffers from a rare genetic disorder, but her condition has won her a world title.
She suffers from a condition called Weaver’ syndrome which causes rapid growth. But the brave teenager has embraced her condition and is celebrating her title.
She has a standing height of 213.6cm (7ft 0.09 in) and received the award in a special presentation in her hometown of Safranbolu, near Karabük.
Rumeysa had to be measured three times in one day by a Guinness book official and in the presence of world records an official representative. The teenager is currently in the 11th grade at high school and lives at
home with her parents and older siblings – who are more average in
height. The Tallest Ever Female Teenager is Canadian Anna Haining Swan (b. 6
August 1846 - d. 5 August 1888), who reached a height of 241.3 cm (7ft
11 in).
