Moi Era Land Deals Ghosts Continue To Haunt Deputy President Samoei Ruto.

Deputy President William Ruto has been been linked to ownership of disputed land in Ruai. According to Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Elias Otieno yesterday alleged Ruto and former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo were among the beneficiaries ofover 5,000 hectares of land in Ruai.

Those who were YK '92 are the same  people who own this land. Otieno asked the two leaders to return the land back to the Nairobi County assembly.

The land in question was originally Government property but was transferred to the Settlement Fund Trustee on December 5, 1986. The trustee is still holding 3,614.2 hectares while 1,054.78 hectares were transferred to two companies.
