Bizarre incident has engulfed a village in Narok County after a form 2 student gave birth and dumped the infant in a pit latrine. The 21-yearold girl from Kerinkani Secondary School in Transmara reportedly went into labor pain and gave birth before secretly dumping the infant in the latrine near her parent’s home in Angata Barikoi area. Narok County Police Commander Samuel Mukindia has said that the woman disappeared after dumping the newborn and when the villagers passing near the latrine heard it crying, they broke the toilet and retrieved the infant alive. "She went into labor pain in a bush and gave birth to it. She later sneaked into a pit latrine in the village and dumped it before walking away," he said. The baby is undergoing treatment at Lolgorian Mission Hospital.
