She was being charged with attempted suicide and so she was explaining why she committed the crime.
Ruth Njeri, a student at Githunguri Secondary School, said that the devil pressurized her to sacrifice her grandmother so that she could rest in peace. She explained that a teacher only identified as Virginia requested her and two other students to help her collect some items in her home sometime last year and while there, a man called Gaza took them to a building where they found a half-naked man with a tattooed body.
Virginia knelt down before the ‘master’ and said: “Your highness, I have brought them.” Two other half n@ked men grabbed them and blindfolded them before taking blood from them and put in bottles.
Since then she was part of a cult she did not understand and on October 6, she was told to sacrifice her grandmother which was too much for her. As a result, she opted to take away her life.
She was released on a Sh5, 000 bond and further hearing of the case was set for Monday, next week.
