His deceptions were exposed by Mohammed Ali andJohn Allan Namu in their investigative series Jicho Pevu and The Inside Story respectively. Videos showing Kanyari coaching witnesses were tabled and there was no way he was coming back from that.
Immediately after the exposé, Kenyans started comparing him with other pastors, notably the incredibly rich Bishop Allan Kiuna.
It is clear that Kanyari’s target market is the low class and that perhaps explains why he’s not as wealthy as his compatriot Bishop Kiuna. Together with his wife kathy, they run the Jubilee Christian Church, which is a meeting point for the rich. As expected, the panda mbegus Kiuna receives is way higher.
The Kiunas may not be mocking God to Kanyari’s level, but Kenyans are developinga general mistrust for all these ‘men of God’.
