I have serious issues,” stated Ruto.
“As a parent, I wouldn't have a role model for my son carrying an earring,” the DP asserted.
Previously, several people expressed concerns over the ring with negative sentiments being raised especially when the CJ was being vetted.
However, Mutunga boldly explained that the stud was part of his religion and would not interfere with the execution of his duties at the helm of the legal system.
Mr Ruto used the statement as an analogy to CORD protests saying that most people in the country were uncomfortable with several institutions but were not protesting against them.
“I haven't organised a demonstration because I have to respect that there are issues I cannot change,” he remarked.
Ruto reiterated that the constitution has provided mechanisms for anyone having problems with various institutions to solve them in an orderly manner.
