Former ICC inductee and radio journalist, Joshua Arap Sang, has done the unthinkable.
The man from Rift Valley announced that he would be gunning for the Trans Nzoia Governorship come 2017.
Speaking at Kipkeikei High School during an event that was also attended by Deputy President William Ruto, Sang declared his interest in the seat saying he will vie on Uhuru/ Ruto’s Jubilee ticket.
He noted that the decision to go for the top County seat was informed by wide consultations and requests by Trans Nzoia people for him to lead them as their Governor.
“My decision follows consultations with local leaders, elders and residents of this County,” said Sang.
The former radio journalist vowed to scale the County to greater heights of development.
“I believe I have what it takes to steer Trans Nzoia County to great heights of development,” he said.
Sang will now battle it out with among others, Governor Patrick Khaemba.
