Police have revealed the identities of three officers linked to the murder of lawyer Willie Kimani, his client and a taxi-man.
The three Administration Police officers including Senior Sergeant Fredrick Leliman, Corporal Stephen Chebulet and Constable Silvia Wanjiku are being interrogated over the disappearance of the lawyer, his client Josphat Mwendwa and driver Joseph Muiruri.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet said in a statement that there was circumstantial evidence linking the three officers to the murders adding that the behaviour of the suspects was not representative of the values of National Police Service.
“I reject claims there are death squads in police. These are rogue officers just like any society with rogue people. They will face the law,” he said.
