The sole survivor of a grisly Kisii road crash that left seven dead last remembers she and her friends screaming.
The Kenyatta University student, identified only as Mercy, said she regained consciousness in hospital, and learned that her friends had died.
She recounted that the group was on the way from Nairobi to Magina in Kisii for a friend's birthday party.

They reached Kisii town at about 7.30pm when a different person took over the driving, shortly before the accident.
"One of the men took over. I cannot remember anything else. I woke up in hospital," she said.
The student said those who drove the Toyota Noah car they were
travelling in had licences.
Mercy said a second group that had been travelling in a separate car got to the destination.
She said among them were students from KU, Dedan Kimathi, Utalii College, graduates and one who was to join college
