After an an accident that claimed the lives of 8 Kenyatta University Students in Kisii, on 12th August 2016, another tragic accident has seen at least 12 students dead. This comes after a brand new school bus rolled in Nyambunde, a short distance from the school, in Kisii County.

St. Mary's Nyamagwa Girls High School Form Three students were said to be taking a ride in the new school bus when it was involved in the accident.

A witness revealed that the students were said to be enjoying a maiden ride in the bus that had been delivered to the school on Thursday evening.

The injured students were rushed to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

The grisly accident occurred about 5 kilometres from the school on the Igare-Itumbe road.
