A police officer, who was sacked in January for blocking President Uhuru Kenyatta’s motorcade while he was allegedly taking bribe, has found himself in much more trouble.
He was arrested again for posing as a police officer even after he was dismissed from the service.
Joel Nyakongo was arraigned in court on Friday for posing as a police officer and other traffic offences.

Nyakongo was apprehended along Haile Selassie Avenue in Nairobi for obstructing the entrance of the Easy Coach booking office and taken to Central Police Station where he identified himself using his police ID card.
He was slapped with three charges which included obstructing motorists, resisting arrest and failing to obey verbal directives from a uniformed officer.
The court ruled that he be released on a cash bail of Sh100, 000 or a bond of Sh200, 000 and a surety of a similar amount.
