Fresh details have emerged linking police officers to the brutal murder of a patient inside Mwingi Level Four Hospital on Thursday morning.
Fredrick Musyimi, 27, was attacked by two men inside the hospital, where he had been admitted earlier with gunshot wounds, and shot 17 times killing him instantly.
Speaking during a fund-raiser in Kitui County over the weekend, CORD co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka speculated that Musyimi could have been a police informer or that he had delicate information which the assassins wanted to be hidden.
“This is clear execution. The country cannot tolerate this kind of impunity. The killing of the patient cannot be allowed in a civilised world,” Kalonzo was quoted by the Standard.
