Three weeks ago,Registrar of Political Parties Lucy Ndung’u declined to register Federal Democratic Alliance of Kenya that was linked to him over ownership wrangles.
There were unconfirmed reports that Ababu Namwamba was persuaded by the Deputy president William Ruto to leave ODM and join the ruling government as a way of weakening the opposition.
The MP has however downplayed the claims.
Raila Odinga has been persuading Ababu Namwamba to come back to the opposition to strengthen the party that threw him to the political limelight.
