A first year student of Multi-Media University who had just been enrolled at the institution was among those who perished along Lang’ata Road on Sunday after a reckless driver of a matatu plying the Rongai route caused a tragic accident.

The late Cynthia Akoth had stayed in the campus for only three weeks before she met her untimely death on Sunday.


Students from Multi-Media University took to the streets and caused chaos while protesting the death of their colleague.

They accused Rongai matatu drivers of driving recklessly and s3xually harassing ladies in matatus.
