Shortly after the former Prime Minister's speech, Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery took to the podium and dismissed Raila's claims of a phone call by Ntimama.
''Let us respect the old man. Let us not use his name to play politics,'' Nkaissery noted.
Before the late Ntimama died, he took a delegation to State House in August where he publicly declared that he would support the President’s Jubilee party.
At least 20,000 mourners thronged Ntimama's Motonyi home in Narok including President Uhuru Kenyatta among other dignitaries for the final journey of the veteran politician.
