A terror alert has been issued at the Coastal region after a leaked intelligence report indicated that Al Shabaab militants could be planning a major attack in the area.


The intelligence brief says the Somali based ragtag has reactivated one of its cells in Mombasa and is planning to strike in Kilifi, Kwale or Tana River Counties. 

The report also says four suspects arrived in Malindi on November 7 and were using a Toyota Prado to coordinate the attacks.
