Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i on Tuesday warned school principals against hiking school fees as KCPE candidates prepare to join Form One in January 2017.
While announcing the Form One selection results at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development in Nairobi, Matiang’i requested parents to report school principals who will demand more money than the standard package set out by the government.
“If any parent pays a shilling more in school fees, then the Principal should be reported,” Matiang’i stated.
The Education CS announced that all candidates who had scored 400 marks and above had been selected to join National schools across the country.
Dr Matiang’i said admission letters would be posted on the Education ministry website, www.education.go.ke
