The Kenyan political scene is often associated with a flamboyant display of wealth and glamorous living.
However, there are a few humble MPs who continue to demonstrate that leadership is not synonymous with wealth.

1. Irungu Kang’ata
Leading this list is the Kiharu MP who drives a Toyota Ist and one whose rural home does not have a fence.
The youthful MP owned a Toyota Prado before he became an MP but later donated it for use by his constituents in weddings and other community events.
“Good leaders interact to get a feel for what people go through. They share their ideas and problems, then you figure out solutions,” Kangata explained his simple lifestyle.
