The President also congratulated all candidates who won various elective seats and encouraged all those who lost to live to fight another day.

Kenyatta further highlighted that he would rededicate himself into serving Kenya and do everything to ensure the country is in a better place than he found it.

We will serve all the 42 tribes equally to ensure fairness and equality," Kenyatta stated. Kenyatta garnered 8,203,290 votes (54.27%) while his closest rival, Odinga amassed 6,762,254 votes (44.74%). According to the IEBC data, 15,073,662 Kenyans turned out to vote representing a 78.91% turnout.
