The County Returning officer and other presiding officers did not pick calls with reports suggesting they had penned their resignation letters.

By the time of publishing this story, no progress had been made in dispatching of the ballot boxes to the respective polling stations.
The development came after area Governor Cornel Rasanga had declared that there would be no elections in his county.
He also threatened “serious consequences” for any resident who would dare to take part in the repeat presidential poll.
