Believers, largely drawn from the Christian side, scrambled to interact with ‘Jesus’ and showed him with gifts including chicken, goat, money and other valuables.
The locals further went ahead to confess their sins to him saying that the Biblical prophecy on the second coming of ‘Jesus’ had been fulfilled.
The residents were shocked later after details emerged that the man was not ‘Jesus’ but a Italian tourist identified as Antonio Boreti who was on a visit to Zambia.
Mr. Boreti was confused since he did not understand what was going on but enjoyed the attention when he saw people following him.
