A big number of religious leaders living in The United States have called on Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to embrace the way of peace and national reconciliation instead of calling for mass action to help solve some of the many challenges that the country faces.
In an open letter to the former Prime Minister, the church leaders added that the Kenyan situation is far much different to the Arab Spring situation in Kenya saying that Raila is misinformed to even think of such a method.
They said that it is a misplaced conception for the CORD leader to think that this is the way to go in order for him to settle political scores with his political foes.
The men of God added that the Kenyan situation is a fragile one considering the major threats posed by terrorist group Al-Shabaab adding that what happened in Egypt should act as a clear example of what mass action can be as well as its repercussions.
'We are asking you to embrace the spirit of tolerance and true patriotism for posterity in Kenya and desist from divisive politics as much as possible' The leaders said. The open letter was signed by seventeen church leaders who said that they speak on behalf of the larger Diaspora community living abroad.
