Her parents got hold of sex related graphics that he had sent to the girl. At the time, he was suspended from his job following concerns from colleagues about his "improper" behaviour.
Jones, from Stockport, was arrested and later charged with a number of sexual offences. The investigation led to another child victim coming forward who said Jones had sexually abused her in the 1970s, according to the reporters.
Jones was jailed for a total of eight years after he admitted a string of sexual offences against both victims.
