A Roman Catholic catechist who was kidnapped by suspected gangsters from Tans Nzoia County was found nailed on a tree in Kaptagat Forest, Elgeyo Marakwet County.Cops from from Eldoret and Kitale searched the Kaptagat forest in search of the middle-aged man who went missing on two days earlier only to find him nailed on a tree with a six inch nail. Uasin Gishu County CID Commandant Isaac Musyoki, the man Peter Asusa was kidnapped along Kitale-Webuye road at around 5:30pm while going to purchase drugs for his sick wife in Kitale Town. “The man fell prey of the gang after he alighted from a matatu in Kiminini area of Trans Nzoia County, forcibly locked in the car trunk and taken to a destination unknown to him," Musyoki explained. He further stated that the victim told them how he was beaten and asked to produce money but when he failed to respond to their demand, they decided to half-crucify him in the forest situated about 15 kilometers from Eldoret town.
