Officers from the Ministry of Education on Saturday sparked drama in a Nairobi school after staging an early morning raid.
The team stormed Unity Primary School in Umoja estate where they found teachers conducting the prohibited tuition throwing learning into limbo.
Upon entering the school compound, a commotion ensued as teachers ran around jumping over the school fence to avoid being arrested.
The situation escalated after the pupils started demonstrating to demand for a refund of the money they had been paying to facilitate the weekend studies.
They barricaded a road leading to the school and reportedly attempted to assault two of the teachers who were spotted near the institution forcing them to flee for safety.
