According to reports on the Daily Nation, on that fateful day, police were tipped off by their colleagues through the popular social media app Watsapp that four suspects had escaped a police dragnet on Manyanja Road on Tuesday at 11pm.
A local greengrocer had informed the police that four people, including a woman, were robbing residents in the area.
