The United
States has sent a stern warning to the
Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission (IEBC) over an alleged plot to rig
the August 8th General Elections in favour of
President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Addressing over 30 vernacular radio journalists from Western Kenya who
attended a workshop in Kisumu on responsible reporting of elections, US
President, Donald Trump, through Ambassador Robert Godec, challenged IEBC
to promote transparency for the country to have successful elections.
He said the commission owes its actions to Kenyan people and needed to be
open and transparent in its operations.
