A General Service Unit (GSU) officer has been shot after armed gunmen attacked Deputy
President William Ruto's home in Sugoi Uasin Gishu County.
The attack happened on Saturday morning shortly after DP Ruto left the house for a rally in
Kitale.
During the incident, the officer is said to have lost his firearm.
Reports indicate that the home has been cordoned
off as the attackers are still believed to be in the
compound.
