The analyst took to Twitter to question the motive of the attack which happened a few minutes after Ruto left the area for a rally in Kitale.
Though the motive is still unknown, Ngunyi seemed to connect the incident to the upcoming August General Election.
“Like in Nkaissery ASSASSINATION, we must ask: WHO BENEFITS from Ruto attack? If a RUNNING MATE dies, Election is POSTPONED till October 4,” he posted.
The comment immediately elicited varied reactions from a section of netizens who held a similar opinion while others blasted him for the same.
