U.S. president Barrack Obama is yet to announce if and when he could be visiting Kenya, but a group of grandmothers from his ancestral home in Nyangoma, Kogelo are burning the midnight oil in anticipation of a visit by the world's most powerful man whose ancestry is Kenyan.
As of now about 285 women have registered for lessons to learn how to speak English and Swahili - the main reason, to break the communication barrier and enable them understand visiting tourists and president Obama just in case he comes calling.
The American President who was elected the first African American President in 2009 has not visited Kenya as president and has instead made visits to South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana and Senegal. The last time he was in Kenya was in 2006 as a Senator Of Illinois.
