Police on Monday
at about 4pm shot dead four suspected thugs near the MP Shah Hospital and
recovered an AK47 rifle with 23 bullets. The four were killed as they tried to
escape from the car they were using when police caught up with them in a
dramatic chase.
The thugs, according to police reports, were
headed for a robbery mission, when police officers tried to flag down the car
they were using, they defied prompting a chase.
The head of Special Crimes Prevention Unit
Noah Katumo said the suspects had also been captured on cameras in a club in Mombasa
ordering people to lie down as they robbed them.
